Dr. Dana S. LaFon
Dr. Dana S. LaFon is a Senior Behavioral Scientist with focus areas in investigative psychology and social science research as applied to national security. Graduating from Loyola University of Maryland’s Doctoral of Psychology program in 2001, Dr. LaFon worked in forensic psychology conducting court evaluations such as insanity defense and competency trials as well as providing expert testimony. She has also enjoyed a career for over a decade as adjunct university faculty, most recently teaching at the University of Maryland College Park. She has taught behavioral profiling among other forensic psychology courses. Joining the U.S. Government in 2003 as an investigator, Dr. LaFon has worked in various government settings including NCIS and the Maryland Division of Correction. She has developed expertise in Counterintelligence, Counterterrorism, radicalization, and cyber psychology. Dr. LaFon is presently assigned to the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit.
