International studies for CJ majors

The School of Criminal Justice & Sociology is currently sponsoring two travel-abroad opportunities tailored to students in this major.

Rome, Italy

This program takes you to the heart of the Eternal City. Take classes at the accredited American University of Rome with a mix of American, Italian and international students for a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Enrolling 500 students a semester from more than 40 countries, The American University of Rome has hosted study-abroad students for five decades, working with renowned education institutions in the U.S. to provide a range of exciting and challenging programs that meet the needs of students and integrate fully with their home programs.

Chengdu, China

Interested in China but need more than just language and culture classes? The NU Chengdu Center offers a non-language based program in China. Great for Criminal Justice and Sociology students.

An English language, US-style learning environment, the Chengdu American Center for Study Abroad is located in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province in China’s Southwest. The center is the pioneering idea of Global Maximum Educational Opportunities, Inc. cofounder and Chairman Dr. David Chang. The center will have Concordia University Chicago, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Merrimack College and Norwich University as principal partners, allowing them to offer a range of courses and make credits easy to transfer.
The prestigious Sichuan University , one of the leading universities in China and the earliest higher education institute in Sichuan, dating back to the Qing Dynasty, is the host institution. The center is located on the university’s beautiful, downtown Huaxi campus, in one of its stately old buildings.

You will study with a mix of other Americans and students from Sichuan University.
